The 32^nd Annual American Advertising Federation Tucson ADDY^® Awards

AAF Tucson has sponsored the local ADDY Awards since 1981, recognizing the most creative advertising produced in Southern Arizona. AAF District 12 Local ADDY Awards Winners Announced

American Advertising Federation District 12 ADDY® Awards judging was completed last week in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a distinguished judging panel of advertising creative professionals from throughout the United States.  The District competition included a total of 245 entries from seven advertising federation clubs throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and El Paso.

American Advertising Federation Tucson forwarded 100 Gold and Silver ADDY award winning entries from the local awards event held on February 16, 2013.  Of those entries, eleven received District ADDY Award recognition, including six professional and five student awards. 

University of Arizona Student Affairs Marketing won two District Silver ADDYS for “Orientation Calendar 2012-2013” and “Get in the Know: Family Weekend”. Creative Slice received a District Silver ADDY for the “Hotel Congress Website”. Chris Mooney Photography received a District Silver ADDY for “The Spirit of the West Rides On” done for the Perimeter Bicycling Association/El Tour de Tucson. Gordley Group won a District Silver ADDY for their “2012 Holiday Card”.  Perimeter Bicycling Association of America, Inc. won a District Silver ADDY for “2012 El Tour de Tucson Custom Cycling Clothing”. 

In the student categories, District Silver Student ADDYS were awarded to Southwest University for Visual Arts students Vanessa O’Brian for “All Souls Procession Poster” and Ramon Olivas for “Casillero del Diablo Product Photo”.  A District Silver Student ADDY was also awarded to The Southwest University of Visual Arts Animation Department for “Visit The Loft Cinema”.

District Silver Student ADDYS were also awarded to The Art Institute of Tucson students Andrea M. Brooks for “WOW! Costa Rica” and to Benjamin Storie for “Windows”.

Gold and Silver ADDY® Award winning entries from the District 12 competition are eligible to compete in the AAF National ADDY® Awards competition, which will be judged in May.  The final tier of awards will be announced during the national awards gala event on Saturday, June 8th at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona as part of the 2013 AAF National Conference, ADMERICA!
