Ad2 Tucson

Our club for members age 32 and under, who are actively engaged or interested in the advertising field. Ad2 is a division of the American Advertising Federation. Nationally, Ad2 is over 1,000 members strong and now boasts more than 20 clubs nationwide. Ad2 teaches young professional various techniques and aspects of the advertising industry. Ad2 also helps its community while teaching its members, with the annual development and execution of a multimedia campaign for a public service organization. Letter from the AAF Tucson President

Dear AAF Tucson members,

Thank you for your ongoing support of the American Advertising Federation Tucson (AAFT). We had a tremendous year in 2010-11 as the AAFT celebrated a record amount of entries and attendance at the 30th annual ADDY® Awards at its new venue - the historic Fox Theatre downtown. Our luncheon speakers consistently rate high in overall satisfaction and useful information in the work place. AAFT is developing the next generation of advertising professionals, awarding $5,000 in scholarships and providing other educational opportunities. Our Tucson chapter is nationally recognized by the AAF with awards given to AAFT for being the best in our Division for Advertising Education, Programs and Public Service as well second place for Club Communications and third place for Government Relations (this despite being in a Division with chapters from larger metropolitan areas such as Houston, Texas) and the overall national best chapter for Public Service.

I know that each and every business is taking a comprehensive look at all of their expenses including membership dues. As you contemplate your continued membership in AAF Tucson, our board is working hard to ensure that you will think of our organization as an investment and not an expense, an association that continues to help you build and protect your business by:

- Supporting the interests of the advertising industry in both the local and national spheres

- Offering networking events for you to meet hundreds of other advertising-industry executives

- Promoting the businesses of our members to those seeking advertising-related services

- Providing educational opportunities and industry-related news to ensure you and your company stay on top of all that is happening in advertising

In addition, we have several new initiatives this year that are based on member feedback to make your membership even more valuable, including:

- Re-introducing AdBags, free and member-only events that allow you greater access to the speakers and are limited to one hour to fit into your busy schedule

- New membership and sponsorship options including a Corporate Unlimited Membership - allowing for everyone in your organization to participate in AAF Tucson events as members

- A revamped AAF Tucson website and corresponding promotional campaign that allows you to post more information about your business (including a video) for prospective buyers to view or for you to search when you are looking for advertising-related services

- An expansion of our educational opportunities that includes the launch of a seminar series focused on providing a well-rounded view of the advertising industry, and featuring topics and subjects that you help us select

Greater and more effective communications pertaining to all of the news, events and benefits related to the local, regional and national American Adverting Federation
