AAF Call for Nominations - Barton A. Cummings Gold Medal Award & Betty Riehl Excellence in Service Award
Each year the American Advertising Federation presents the Barton A. Cummings Gold Medal Award and the Betty Riehl Excellence in Service Award to distinguished and deserving members or employees of the AAF. These two important awards were created to honor service to the industry and to the AAF.
The Barton A. Cummings Gold Medal Award was established in 1994 to recognize distinguished individuals for their volunteer service to advertising through work with the AAF. The award is named for the late Barton A. Cummings whose extraordinary career was dedicated to the industry and advancing the values of advertising. The Betty Riehl Excellence in Service Award was established in 1997 to honor employees of AAF member clubs, federations, districts and the national AAF staff for distinguished service to the organization. This award is named in honor of the late Betty Riehl who served on the AAF staff for over 20 years.
Recipients of these awards are traditionally recognized at our AAF National Conference in June. You can click on the following links to review a list of past Barton A. Cummings Gold Medal Award and Betty Riehl Excellence in Service Award recipients.
Each year we send a call for nominations to our members, and this year is no different. We know that there are many exceptional members in your market who are deserving of proper recognition and that you may want to nominate them for one of these awards. Please review the criteria for these awards and if you determine that there is someone in your market who would be a qualified candidate for either award, be sure to submit a nomination on their behalf.
